Oasis simply means a fertile piece of land in a barren country, and that is our goal; to be a place of restoration, worship, salvation, provision and healing in our city. Oasis has never been restricted to a building, however, over the years we have realised that in order to achieve our dream of meeting the practical and spiritual needs of the community, we would require a space of our own.

Oasis has never been restricted to a building, however, over the years we have realised that in order to achieve our dream of meeting the practical and spiritual needs of the community, we would require a space of our own.
Within the walls of our new building, we long to see the lost come to Christ, the broken restored and a new sound of worship released over our city. We dreamt of building a community centre in the heart of Theescombe where the locals can meet, a daycare center and special needs school, a day clinic for farm workers/local residents, a skills training center for the unemployed, lecture rooms and a conference center that will assist families in the area, and finally, a safe place for the community where the love of Christ is not merely preached, but is being seen put into action. This venue would also serve as a resource centre for local and international outreach programs.
In 2013 we took a bold step of faith and purchased 25 000 square meters of land in Theescombe, an agricultural/residential part of our city. Our dream is so much bigger than just a meeting place on a Sunday.
In September 2023, we officially completed the building of our dream home. There is no doubt that God has been all over this story. We still have a long way to go in terms of furnishing the interior and exterior of the building, but we are so grateful to every individual, family and business who sowed into this project. Thank you for being part of this miracle.
Our next steps include setting up the property to serve our surrounding community. This is an appeal to all of our Oasis family, local or international, as well as anyone who has a heart to see communities radically changed through the practical outworking of Jesus’ love, to partner with us financially.

Over the past three years, we have spent every spare moment working on the building plans, getting those plans approved, laying the foundations and slowly building the steel structure of the building. We are now at a ‘make-or-break’ point in the building process where we need to begin bricking up the sides of the structure to preserve the integrity of the steel. It has been a slow couple of years as we waited on God to provide financially before we moved forward with the development. We are relying solely on donations and sponsorships as we believe God was clear on not creating debt, fully trusting that He would see our dream through to completion.

‘God is building a home. He’s using us all – irrespective of how we got here – in what he is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now he’s using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day – a holy temple built by God, all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at home.’
